WashU Fall ‘22
Another great semester at WashU has come to a close. From academics to extracurriculars, every moment at WashU is incredibly memorable and enriching. I remained an active member of the crew team and some semester highlights were the Head of the Charles and the Head of the Hooch. Head of the Charles is the largest regatta in the country and it was truly amazing to compete in such a well-known and competitive event. We also finished in 11th, the best a boat from WashU has ever placed. Beyond the rowing, getting to travel to Boston with some of my best friends was so fun and a lifelong memory. Head of the Hooch was held in Tennessee and the whole crew team went and we placed very well. It was another great event and I truly appreciate everything the team has given me. WashU crew taught me so much about being on a team and how to be a better athlete. They have truly pushed me to be a better person and have certainly encouraged my campaign.
Beyond the crew team, I had a great semester academically. I continued on the math and physics tracks taking Introduction to Quantum Physics and Foundations of Higher Mathematics. These classes taught me so much and showed that I am interested in physics and math and want to pursue them further. I also was a Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Computer Science which I also really enjoyed! I also took Introduction to Greek Mythology, Politics of Reproduction, Sustainable Cities and Islamophobia and US Politics.
This semester I also competed in my first triathlon with the WashU Triathlon Team, visited Chicago with one of my best friends, and had both of my sisters visit me at school. This semester has been full of great memories and even though I am taking time away from school to train full-time, the people and experiences come with me every day.
